BATON ROUGE — Temeka Johnson, a senior point guard on the LSU Lady Tigers 10th-ranked basketball team, was named one of the top five “Points of Impact” by ESPN.com.
Johnson, a New Orleans native, averaged 10.0 points and 5.9 assists per game last year for the Lady Tigers was listed in alphabetical order with Texas’ Jamie Carey, Texas Tech’s Erin Grant, Rutgers’ Cappie Pondexter, and Purdue’s Erika Valek.
ESPN analyst Nancy Lieberman said of Johnson: “A tremendous passer who’s small but quick and plays with a lot of heart and soul.”
