Former Tiger Dupree Selected in CBA Draft

Former Tiger Ronald Dupree Added to Detroit Pistons Roster

BATON ROUGE – Detroit Pistons President of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars added six players to the team’s training camp roster, including LSU forward Ronald Dupree.

Dupree, who completed his LSU career last season, participated with the Pistons in the 2003 Pepsi Pro Summer League in Orlando, Fla., from July 8-12. In five games, he averaged 10.2 points with 3.4 rebounds and 1.20 steals in 20.2 minutes and finished tied for ninth in steals per game (1.40 spg).

The 6-7 forward from Biloxi, Miss., concluded his college career ranked eighth in career points and sixth in career rebounds at LSU as the Tigers went 21-11 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. Dupree averaged 15.8 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game.

Among those also signed with Dupree were former SEC players Rod Grizzard, Justin Hamilton and Tang Hamilton.
