BATON ROUGE — Khalilah Mitchell, a freshman guard for the LSU Lady Tigers basketball team was selected as the Cox Communication Center For Student-Athletes-Student-Athlete of the Month for the month of August.
The award was given to Mitchell for her great work ethic in study hall and in the classroom during the summer semester of classes. The New Orleans, La., native enrolled early at LSU and earned a 3.0 GPA during the summer.
LSU honors various student-athletes from the 20 varsity sports sponsored by the athletics department.
