BATON ROUGE — Bryan Harris, an all-American infielder at Santa Ana (Calif.) College, has signed a national letter-of-intent with the LSU baseball program.
Harris, who played one season at Santa Ana, is scheduled to enroll in August at LSU, where he will begin his career as a sophomore for the 2004 squad.
Harris, a 6-2, 200-pound third baseman/shortstop, earned 2003 JUCO all-America honors at Santa Ana, batting .407 with 19 doubles, eight homers, 51 RBI and 16 stolen bases. He collected 70 hits and scored 44 runs.
The right-handed batter is a native of Tustin, Calif., where he was an honor roll student at Tustin High School. He was also named to the Dean’s List at Santa Ana College.
Harris becomes the 10th baseball signee scheduled to enroll at LSU this fall
