BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The first day of the Southeastern Conference tournament at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium has been postponed due to heavy rain.
Rains on Tuesday forced the cancellation of practice session at the stadium, and the precipitation continued throughout the morning on Wednesday. The decision to postpone the opening day schedule was made at 11 a.m. by conference officials.
The schedule for Wednesday has now been pushed back to Thursday, with LSU’s game against Arkansas scheduled for 8 p.m.
