Bertman to Hold ‘Cyber-side Chats’ with LSU Fans

BATON ROUGE — LSU season ticket holders in all sports will begin to receive e-mail correspondence this week from athletics director Skip Bertman on the state of the LSU Athletics Program, his plans for the future of Tiger Athletics, and other matters of interest to Tiger fans.

The letters, to be called “Cyber-side Chats,” will also be posted regularly on the official website of LSU Athletics, LSUsports.net.

“This is an effort to inform our fans about every aspect of our athletics program,” Bertman said. “As we formulate our plans for the future, we want our fans to be involved, and they can only be involved if they have pertinent and accurate information.”

The athletics department recently sent a letter to all season ticket holders to inform them of the planned correspondence and to solicit any missing e-mail addresses.

“We had a lot of success corresponding with our season ticket holders by e-mail in December concerning Cotton Bowl ticket sales, and we got a lot of feedback that our fans liked that kind of communication,” Bertman said.

The LSU Athletics Department has also set up an e-mail address, LSUvision@etigers.net, where fans can provide feedback and suggestions in response to the correspondence from Bertman.

The Cyber-side Chats will be e-mailed to season ticket holders and posted on www.LSUsports.net on a weekly basis for the next several months, then afterward on a schedule to be determined.
