BATON ROUGE — The LSU baseball team will play host to Loyola University of New Orleans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, in Alex Box Stadium.
The game was added to fill the void on the LSU schedule caused by the rain-out of the Tigers’ game at Southern University on March 18. All seating will be general admission for the LSU-Loyola game, as the game is not a part of the LSU season ticket package. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children ages 3-12.
Tickets may be ordered over the phone by calling (225) 578-2184 or 1-800-960-8587, or they may be purchased in person at the LSU ticket office on the first floor of the athletic administration building.
The May 6 encounter will mark the 55th meeting between LSU and Loyola in a series that began in 1915. The Tigers lead the series, 31-22-1, including a 9-5 victory over the Wolfpack in 1998 at Alex Box Stadium.
LSU (25-11-1 overall, 11-3-1 SEC), ranked No. 7 this week by Collegiate Baseball magazine, travels to Nashville this weekend to face Vanderbilt (17-18, 6-9) in a three-game conference series. Game times are Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.
All three LSU-Vanderbilt games can be heard on the LSU Sports Radio Network and at www.LSUsports.net.
Sunday’s game will be televised live throughout Louisiana on the Jumbo Sports Network (Cable Channel 6 in Baton Rouge).
