ATHENS, Ga. — The 20th-ranked LSU men’s tennis team will attempt to win its second-straight Southeastern Conference road match of the season on Sunday as the Tigers face off against the Georgia Bulldogs at noon at the Dan Magill Tennis Center.
LSU heads into Sunday’s contest with an overall record of 8-4 on the season and a 2-3 mark against conference opponents. On Friday, the Tigers earned their first road victory of the 2003 campaign with a 4-3 win over Tennessee.
LSU owns a 1-3 record on the road this season after suffering hard-fought losses at second-ranked Florida, No. 12 Texas A&M and the 14th-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks.
Georgia, the defending SEC champion, owns a 5-8 overall record and a 1-3 mark versus SEC opponents. The Bulldogs’ matchup against Arkansas scheduled for Friday, March 14, was postponed due to rain and will be made up on March 26.
