COLUMBIA, S.C. — Steady rain in the Columbia, S.C., area has washed away the Southeastern Conference softball doubleheader scheduled for Saturday between No. 8 LSU and No. 15 South Carolina. The teams will attempt to play a doubleheader on Sunday.
LSU (19-6, 2-1 SEC) and South Carolina (18-6, 2-1 SEC) will now play a doubleheader on Sunday with the first game at 11 a.m. ET and the second game at 2 p.m. ET. Saturday’s doubleheader was scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. ET.
Both games will be broadcast on the LSU Sports Network, WJNH, Jam’n 107.3 FM in Baton Rouge or on the internet at www.LSUsports.net. The second game of the doubleheader will also be televised live in Baton Rouge on FoxSports Southwest, cable channel 37.
