AUBURN, Ala. — Sophomore Jessica Wantz advanced to the NCAA Diving Championships in the 1-meter event on Sunday at the NCAA Zone B Regional in Auburn, Ala.
Wantz, competing in her first NCAA regional, finished second behind Miami’s Katie Beth Bryant with a score of 592.70. She had finished 37th in Saturday’s 3-meter competition.
Men’s diver Kyle VanArsdall finished 15th in the 3-meter event on Saturday with a score of 487.90. VanArsdale needed a finish of fifth or better to advance.
Wantz will return to Auburn next weekend for the NCAA Championships.
