On Senior night
“This has got to be a really special group of seniors simply because of the changes that have occured in the four and five years since they have been here. If you look at the year when Kisha James and DeTrina White came in, and what all has transpired in that amount of time and the changes that have occurred, it is just phenomenal. Attendance, postseason play, SEC play and regular-season attendance. These kids are going to walk away with a totally difference perspective than the seniors in the past. They have been in so many firsts. The first to be in an arena with 14,000 people, first to go with a 15-0 start. They have become a part of the record books here at LSU. Consequently we have become maybe even more special to them.”
On playing Arkansas again
“There has to be (a revenge factor against Arkansas). It’s not so much revenge as a sense of urgency, regarding our placement in the SEC Tournament. I’m sure they’re going to be — I don’t want to say desperate — but in a position where they really need to come in here and win a ball game and we simply cannot allow it to happen. We have too many things at stake. I give them great credit because they were just tremendous when we played them in Fayetteville. I don’t think they’ve played that well any other game except maybe Duke. But they really hit on all cylinders and were an inspired team. I think they will come in here really hard and aggressive. Somehow, someway we have to find a way to fight it off and win the game.”
