COLUMBUS, Ga. — Due to rain in the Columbus, Ga., area, the seventh-ranked LSU softball team’s games against Villanova and No. 7 Cal State Fullerton scheduled for Friday in the first day of competition in the NFCA Leadoff Classic have been postponed until Saturday.
Weather permitting, LSU will begin play on Saturday against Villanova on Saturday at noon CT before facing Cal State Fullerton at 2 p.m. CT. The Tigers will face Oklahoma in the nightcap at 6 p.m. CT.
Rain hit the South Common Stadium and Ballparks on Friday during the noon games, the first round of games during the Leadoff Classic. At the time play was suspended, No. 10 Oklahoma and Villanova were tied at one in the sixth inning in the first game in the Tiger’s pool.
