Women's Tennis Matches Moved to 9:30 am and 2 p.m. Saturday

LSU-Tulsa Women’s Tennis Match Moved to 11 a.m.

BATON ROUGE — The LSU women’s tennis team’s non-conference match against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. will be moved up and played at 11 a.m. announced head coach Tony Minnis on Thursday.

The men’s tennis match also scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday will begin at the conclusion of the Lady Tigers’ contest on the main courts of the W.T. “Dub” Robinson Tennis Stadium.

“We know that this is going to be a tough match and we want to allow our fans to come out and watch good tennis, as well as show some vocal support for our team,” Minnis said. “With us staggering the start times of the matches, it allows for both us and the men to play on the main courts and that is the ideal forum for us to play in.”

The LSU tennis teams will each host the Tulsa Hurricanes in a doubleheader on Saturday as the Lady Tigers kick off the day’s events at 11 a.m. at the W.T. “Dub” Robinson Tennis Center. The Tigers’ non-conference contest is scheduled to begin on the main courts at the conclusion of the women’s match.

Admission is free to all LSU home tennis matches and refreshments will be made available by the tennis Tiger Athletic Foundation.
