Ferdinand Headlines Lady Tigers’ ‘Reunion Weekend’

BATON ROUGE — Marie Ferdinand, an 2001 All-American for the LSU Lady Tigers and a 2002 WNBA All-Star as a member of the Utah Starzz, highlights the Lady Tigers Reunion Weekend that culminates with the LSU-Georgia game on Sunday.

Ferdinand, the fourth Lady Tiger in history to earn the prestigious Kodak All-America honor, is one of over 30 alumni scheduled to return to Baton Rouge for the weekend, and will be available to sign autographs following the game on the floor on the PMAC.

Ferdinand, a native of Miami, Fla., finished her career at LSU with the seventh most points in school history with 1,648 and was a two-time All-Southeastern Conference selection. In her first WNBA season with Utah, she finished second in voting for the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Star team last season.

LSU, the fifth ranked team in the nation, hosts No. 18 Georgia in the PMAC at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
