BATON ROUGE — DeTrina White, a senior center on LSU’s women’s basketball team, is out indefinitely after suffering a stress fracture in her right foot in Sunday’s game at Arkansas.
White, a 5-11 native of Lafayette, La., will undergo surgery to place a screw in her foot to repair the bone on Tuesday evening. She had started 15 of the Lady Tigers’ 16 games and is averaging 9.3 points and a team-high 8.1 rebounds per game.
White had a similar injury on the same foot last season, which forced her to miss the entire season.
