ATLANTA — The LSU men’s tennis team is eager to begin its 2003 spring season on Thursday as seven Tigers will compete in the Southeastern Conference Indoor Championships being held in Atlanta, Ga.
“This is always one of the more competitive tournaments of the season,” said LSU head coach Jeff Brown. “The SEC is the toughest conference in the nation right now and there will be a lot of talented players in the field this weekend. Our guys are also looking forward to shaking some of rust off after the holidays.”
Competing for the Tigers this weekend will be No. 101-ranked Bryan Fisher, No. 124 Jason Hazley, Brandon Nicholson, Peter Richman, Cory Ross along with freshmen Rafael Corazza and Paul White.
The four-day SEC Indoor Championships will be held at the Racquet Club of the South and is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. (CST) on Thursday.
