ORLANDO, Fla. — The LSU cheerleaders finished ninth and the Tiger Girls Dance Team finished seventh in the the 2003 College Cheerleading and Dance Championships on Saturday afternoon at Disney World’s Wide World of Sports.
Last year, the LSU Cheerleading Squad placed fourth in Division IA (major colleges) at the National Collegiate Cheerleading Championships, while the LSU Tiger Girls placed 11th in Division IA National Collegiate Dance Team Championships from Jan. 10-12, 2002. The Tiger Girls also won the National Championship in 1999 before finishing in fourth in 2000 and fifth in 2001.
