BATON ROUGE — LSU’s second-ranked Lady Tigers, back in action after a week off for the holidays, host 15th-ranked Texas at 2 p.m. on Saturday in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

This will be the sixth meeting between the two storied programs. Texas leads the series 3-2, including a 65-64 victory in Austin last season. Each team has won a game in Baton Rouge during the series.

Junior center Stacy Stephens led the Longhorns. She is scoring 13.9 points per game and grabbing 8.0 rebounds per outing.
The game also features two of the most winningest coaches in women’s basketball history in LSU’s Sue Gunter and UT’s Jody Conradt. Gunter ranks fourth in most career wins with 660, while Conradt is just in front with 677 in her career. Both coached are members of the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame and Conradt is also enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
