Student Bowl Ticket Requests Accepted Through Wednesday

BATON ROUGE — Fulltime LSU student who wish to request up to four tickets to the 2003 SBC Cotton Bowl game between LSU and Texas must do so before Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the LSU Ticket Office. A limited number of tickets will be reserved for LSU students, who must pick up these at the ticket office between Thursday and Friday.

Current fulltime students wishing to purchase tickets to the bowl game must have a current LSU Student ID scanned at the LSU Athletics Ticket Office, located on the first floor of the LSU Athletic Administration Building next to Tiger Stadium. To qualify for fulltime status you must be currently carrying a minimum of 12 undergraduate hours or nine graduate hours.

The order in which ID’s are scanned has no bearing on whether or not student will receive tickets. This is not a first come, first served procedure, so there is no need to camp out or to arrive early at the LSU Ticket Office.

If more LSU students apply for tickets than are in the student allotment, a lottery will be held and winners will be notified by e-mail on the night of Wednesday, Dec. 9. If applications do not exceed the student allotment, all applicants will receive tickets and will be notified on the night of Wednesday, Dec. 9.

Tickets will be available for pick up during the following times:
Thursday, December 12 — 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday, December 13 — 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Student tickets for bowl game are $75, the same as a regular price ticket for the general public.

NOTE: Should there be a large number of unclaimed tickets reserved by LSU students, these will go on sale to the general public on Monday, Dec. 16, at 8 a.m.
