BATON ROUGE — The LSU soccer team’s road contest against the McNeese State Cowgirls scheduled for Wednesday afternoon was postponed until Friday at 4 p.m. announced McNeese State officials on Tuesday.
The postponement is a result of incessant rain in the Lake Charles area over the past few days.
“We got together with their coaches and we all felt that it would be best for both teams if we just waited a couple of days before playing,” said LSU head coach George Fotopoulos. “With all of the rain that they’ve had in their area recently, we agreed as coaching staffs that it we be wise to play there on Friday.”
The LSU soccer team will travel to Lake Charles on Friday to face McNeese State at 4 p.m. at the McNeese Intramural Fields.
