BATON ROUGE — Michael Harrison, a record-setting quarterback from Cerritos College in Norwalk, Calif., has signed to play football for LSU in 2002.
Harrison, who played quarterback for one season at the University of Hawaii, spent the 2001 season at Cerritos College where he set three school records. In 2001, Harrison set school records for attempts (293), completions (145) and total plays (340).
Harrison threw for 1,847 yards and 17 touchdowns in leading Cerritos to a 7-4 mark. For his efforts, Harrison earned First Team All-Mission Conference North Division as well as being named his team’s offensive MVP.
Harrison started his college career at the University of Hawaii in 1999 where he played in five games as a true freshman. Harrison was redshirted in 2000 before transferring to Cerritos College for the 2001 season.
