BATON ROUGE — The 2002 LSU’s women’s basketball team will be honored with a banquet at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 10th at the Lod Cook Alumni Center.
The Lady Tigers posted an 18-12 overall mark in 2002 and reached the finals of the SEC Tournament before falling to Vanderbilt. LSU also advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth straight year despite having only seven healthy players on its roster for the last two months of the season.
Among the players being honored at the banquet will be First Team All-Southeastern Conference member Aiysha Smith as well as SEC All-Tournament team selection Temeka Johnson. LSU will also recognize members of the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
