BATON ROUGE — LSU quarterback Marcus Randall suffered an injury to the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in Saturday’s Spring Game, LSU coach Nick Saban confirmed on Monday.
Randall, a sophomore-to-be from Baton Rouge, suffered the injury while dropping back for a pass. He was untouched on the play.
“The MRI revealed damage to the ACL in his right knee,” Dr. Brent Bankston said. “Marcus will undergo therapy over the course of this week and then we’ll proceed with the surgery as soon as the swelling subsides.”
Bankston said Randall will rehabilitate the knee over the summer and he is expected back on the field sometime during the fall.
