BATON ROUGE — Tickets for the LSU football Spring Game are still on sale at the LSU Ticket Office. The game is slated for a 1 p.m. kickoff on Saturday, April 27 in Tiger Stadium.
All seats are general admission and tickets purchased prior to the day of the game are $5. Tickets purchased on game day are $10.
One added element to the game will be the opportunity for one fan to have a chance at winning a 2002 GMC Sonoma truck. The contest, titled “Punt for a Pick-Up,” calls for one contestant to punt a football from 35-yards away into the bed of the truck. If the ball lands and remains in the truck, then that person wins the truck.
Fans will be able to register for the contest outside of Tiger Stadium at the Eagle 98.1 radio remote location on the day of the game. One contestant will be drawn during the first half for the halftime contest.
The contest is sponsored by Gerry Lane Buick-Pontiac-GMC and Eagle 98.1.
Some of the features of the 2002 GMC Sonoma include 4-speed automatic transmission, AM/FM radio with CD player, aluminum wheels, tilt and cruise control, and air conditioning.
