OXFORD, Miss. — The LSU women’s tennis team will vie for its third-consecutive Southeastern Conference win on Sunday, as the Lady Tigers compete against the Ole Miss Lady Rebels at 1 p.m. in Oxford, Miss.
“We’ve been playing some good tennis lately,” said LSU head coach Tony Minnis. “I think that our team is finally 100 percent healthy and we’ve really gelled together as a team. Ole Miss is talented this season, but if we play our style of tennis, then we should be able to get a win.”
LSU heads into Sunday’s SEC contest with an overall record of 10-9 on the season and a 2-7 mark against conference opponents. The Lady Tigers have earned victories in their previous two SEC matches with a 4-3 upset over 13th-ranked Kentucky and a blowout win over Mississippi State on Friday, 7-0.
The Lady Rebels enter the matchup with an overall record of 9-9 on the season and possess a 2-7 mark against conference opponents. Ole Miss dropped Arkansas at home on Friday.
