Season Ticket Holders May Reserve NIT Tickets

BATON ROUGE — LSU men’s basketball season ticket holders can begin reserving their tickets on Wednesday, March 13 for a potential second round NIT game at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center next week, Director of Athletics Skip Bertman announced on Monday.

The Tigers (18-14) will face Iowa (19-15) in the first round of the NIT on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m CT in Iowa City, Iowa in a game which will be televised live by ESPN2. A victory by the Tigers could give LSU a second round contest at the Maravich Assembly Center on March 18 or 19th.

“We’re asking our season ticket holders to go ahead and reserve their seats so we can make a strong push to host a second round contest,” Bertman said.

Tickets prices are $15 for lower level seats, $14 for middle level seats and $12 for upper level seats. LSU student tickets are $4.

Season tickets holders can begin reserving their seats at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13. They have until the close of business on Friday, March 15 to reserve their seats. Season ticket holders can reserve their tickets with a credit card in person or by calling the LSU Ticket Office at (225) 578-2184 or (225) 578-8001. Credit cards will not be charged until LSU is awarded a second round contest.

Season ticket holders are also reminded that fax orders will not be accepted and internet sales won’t begin until Saturday, March 16.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 16  at the LSU Ticket Office. General admission tickets for LSU students will also go on sale at that time. Tickets can be purchased on Saturday in person, by phone or on the internet at www.LSUsports.net.

Bertman did say that some season tickets holders might be displaced in the arena due to the obligation of seating the visiting team’s band and fans in the lower section in the arena. Those season ticket holders who are displaced will be given the opportunity for equivalent  seats in other areas of the arena.
