AUBURN, Ala. — The 15th-ranked LSU men’s tennis team looks to rebound from its 4-1 loss to Alabama on Friday, as the Tigers finish off a weekend road trip against 18th-ranked Auburn at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

“We’re going into this match looking to make some improvements from the way that we played against Alabama,” said LSU head coach Jeff Brown. “The team is all on the same page in that everyone wants to show some improvements and work towards getting a big win.”

LSU heads into Sunday’s Southeastern Conference battle with a 3-2 overall record and an 0-1 mark in conference play. The Tigers fell to 22nd-ranked Alabama, 4-1, in its SEC opener on Friday. With the loss, LSU dropped its second road contest of the season. The Tigers were topped by No. 1-ranked Illinois in their first road match of the season.

The Auburn tennis team hosts its second consecutive SEC contest on Sunday after the Tigers dropped No. 23 Arkansas, 4-3, in their conference opener on Friday. Auburn improved to an overall record of 6-1 on the season with the win. Auburn’s lone loss of the season came at the hands of the 12th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies on Feb. 17.

LSU owns a dominating 26-7 record in the all-time series against Auburn despite losing its annual contest last season. Auburn edged the Tigers, 4-3, in Auburn, Ala., to snap an LSU four match winning streak.

The 15th-ranked LSU men’s tennis team will look to earn its first road victory of the season on Sunday, as the Tigers challenge Auburn at 1 p.m. at the Luther Young Tennis Complex.
