BATON ROUGE — The LSU women’s tennis team’s match against Auburn scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. was postponed due to a difficulty with Auburn’s travel plans and the forecasted weather in the Baton Rouge area.
LSU head coach Tony Minnis announced the cancellation on Saturday after the Auburn tennis team reported having problems with its travel plans. The expected weather in the Baton Rouge area for Sunday is also supposed to be well below the norm for a tennis match.
This is the second-consecutive match that will be postponed due to the weather for the Lady Tigers. LSU’s Southeastern Conference opener against Alabama was cancelled due to rain on Friday.
Minnis stated that the match could possibly be made up at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 4.
