BATON ROUGE — ESPN will broadcast the LSU gymnastics team’s thrilling victory over then-No. 4 Alabama on Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. (Cox Cable Ch. 35 in Baton Rouge).
The Tigers came up with an inspired performance to take down a top five team for the second consecutive week, 196.925-196.575, in a meet that was held on Feb. 8.
Highlights of the meet included an LSU school record score of 49.550 on bars, a pre-meet ceremony that honored LSU head coach D-D Breaux for 25 years as mentor of the Tigers, and a rare 10.0 vault from Alabama All-American Andree Pickens.
