BATON ROUGE — After dominating Kentucky on the road and falling to No. 6 Vanderbilt at home last week, the LSU women’s basketball team dropped to No. 25 in the latest ESPN/USA Toady Coaches Poll released Monday evening.
Falling one spot in the poll from last week, the Lady Tigers (11-7, 4-3 SEC) were 16-point winners at Kentucky last Thursday before falling to Vanderbilt, 64-53, for Pack the PMAC VI at home on Sunday. LSU is also ranked No. 26 in the current Associated Press poll.
The Lady Tigers have the week off in preparation for Ole Miss next Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. LSU defeated the Lady Rebels, 88-57 in Oxford on Jan.17. The 31-point win was the largest SEC road win for the Lady Tigers since 1985.
