BATON ROUGE – LSU junior guard Collis Temple III was diagnosed with a partially torn tendon in his right foot and will miss the Tigers’ Wednesday night game with Ole Miss, coach John Brady announced Monday afternoon after Temple underwent an MRI.

“Collis Temple has a partially torn tendon in his foot,” said Coach John Brady. “It will keep him out of Wednesday’s game (at Ole Miss) and possibly Saturday when we go to Mississippi State.

“He will not make the trip so he can stay in Baton Rouge and meet the rehab requirements and see the doctors on a regular basis. This is the type of injury that may allow him to play for us later on, but it’s something that may not ever fully heal until the season is over. We will think of Collis first and his future in making any decisions regarding his playing time while rehabbing from this injury,” said the fifth-year Tiger coach.
