Crescent City Tigers to Host 59th-Annual LSU Sports Banquet

Twenty Student-Athletes Graduate in Fall Exercises

BATON ROUGE — A total of 20 LSU student-athletes received degrees Friday during the school’s Fall Commencement Exercises held at the Maravich Assembly Center.

Included in the group were present football defensive end Kyle Kipps and two members of LSU’s softball team, Stephanie Hastings and Auburne Ziober, who took the Tigers to their first Women’s College World Series in 2001.

Track graduates are highlighted by Lueroy Colquhoun, a member of the 2001 Indoor Championship Men’s track and field team and was on the record setting Tiger relay team. Sharene Mamby is still competing for LSU’s nationally-ranked gymnastics team, but received her degree in Psychology and Anthropology. Mamby had the second ever perfect 10.0 score last season on the uneven bars.
