BATON ROUGE — For the first time since Arkansas football joined the Southeastern Conference in 1992, the LSU-Arkansas game has significance for both teams. Since then, LSU leads 5-4 entering the 10th meeting between the teams today at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
LSU (6-3, 3-3 SEC) is the only SEC Western Division team that controls its own destiny, needing two wins to qualify for its first SEC Championship game. Meanwhile, Arkansas (7-3, 4-3 SEC) needs to defeat LSU and have LSU defeat Auburn to qualify for the Dec. 8 championship.
