BATON ROUGE — The LSU men’s and women’s basketball teams for the 2001-2002 season will be on public display for the first time on Saturday, Oct. 27, prior to the LSU-Ole Miss football game with the annual Fan Day activities.
The event is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. in the Maravich Assembly Center and both teams will participate in drills and a possible brief scrimmage during the 90-minute event.
This year, the fans will be able to get involved thanks to a fan 3-point contest featuring a member of the men’s and women’s teams paired together with a fan chosen from the crowd. In addition, someone will have a chance to make a shot from half court for $10,000.
There will be a brief autograph session at the end of the event. Also, the first 200 LSU Students with I.D. Cards will receive free soft drinks and popcorn.
The event is free and open to the public with doors opening one hour prior to the start at 3:30 p.m.
