OXFORD, Miss.– The LSU volleyball team will go for its fourth consecutive victory on Sunday when it takes on Ole Miss in Oxford, Miss.

LSU (7-5, 4-1 SEC) has won five of its last six overall while Ole Miss (4-8, 1-4) has dropped two straight decisions.

“Ole Miss is a dangerous team with a lot of offensive firepower,” said LSU head coach Fran Flory. “When they get in a groove, they can play with anyone.”

Freshman Kyra Lancon will pace the Tiger attack, averaging over 3.5 kills per game in league action. She had a team-high 14 kills in Friday’s win over Mississippi State.

Setting the table for Lancon and the Tiger’s other hitters is junior Katie Kubena. She recorded 43 assists in just three games against the Bulldogs.

The Rebels will counter with Abby Hollander, who is hitting .351 on the season. Jamie Burns leads the team at 3.8 kills per game.

LSU has dominated the series with Ole Miss, going 32-9 against the Rebels. The Tigers had won four straight in the series before Ole Miss won the last meeting a year ago.

A win would move LSU to 5-1 in conference play for the first time since 1992, the last time the Tigers made the NCAA Tournament. In 1992, the Tigers began 8-1 in the SEC and finished 12-2.
