Reynaud Named Associate Sports Information Director

BATON ROUGE — Melissa Reynaud has been named associate sports information director at LSU, the athletic department announced on Thursday.

Reynaud, a 1997 graduate of LSU in Mass Communications, will handle media relations for the highly successful women’s basketball and softball programs and assist with the women’s soccer program.

Before taking the position at LSU, Reynaud was the assistant SID at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches where she was the primary media contact for the women’s soccer, basketball and softball teams and assisted with the other 11 sports including the NCAA I-AA football team.

Prior to that, she worked as a sports information intern at Ole Miss for a year, working primarily with the women’s volleyball and men’s and women’s track and field programs and assisting with the football, men’s and women’s basketball and men’s and women’s tennis programs. She began her career at Northwestern State where she was a graduate assistant for two years while earning her master’s degree in Sports Administration.
