BATON ROUGE — A record number of LSU football season tickets have been delivered by United Parcel Service in a specialty package that is the only one of its kind in the United States.
The tickets, which totaled 62,600, were delivered in a package which features a capacity crowd in Tiger Stadium for LSU’s Alabama contest last year.
UPS generally reserves the front panel of its packages for its brand name, or in some cases, they will share the front panel with another entity.
However, the front panel of the LSU specialty package developed by UPS is exclusive to LSU because of its sponsorship of LSU Athletics.
“We are very excited about our partnership with UPS and feel fortunate to be the only school in the nation with this type of specialty package,” LSU Associate Athletic Director Rannah Gray said. “This package allows the LSU Athletic Department to get one of our most important products to our fans in a timely and efficient manner, while also projecting a positive image of LSU athletics.”
Basketball and baseball season tickets will also be shipped in a specialty package as well.
