BATON ROUGE — After its first full-pads practice that the NCAA allows on Wednesday, the LSU football team returned to the two-a-day grind on Thursday at the LSU practice fields.

The players and coaches weathered an early morning storm in the Baton Rouge area to remain outdoors in preparation for the first scrimmage of the fall.

Practices began at 9:15 on Thursday morning, with a 7:15 p.m. session scheduled to be at the LSU practice fields as well.

The Tigers are scheduled to scrimmage at 2:45 p.m. on Friday, as they continue their 2-1-2 practice schedule until classes begin on Aug. 27.

LSU will continue to prepare for the Sept. 1 season opener against Tulane with a pair of practices on Saturday and one on Sunday.

According to Ticket Office manager Brian Broussard, there are approximately 1,500 tickets available to the Tulane game, with varying numbers available to the remaining six home games. Ticket prices are $30 for bleacher seats and $50 for chair-backed seats, which include a $20 donation to the Tiger Athletic Foundation.

There will be NO online ticket sales for football this season.

The ticket office will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18.
