BATON ROUGE — Outfielder Dustin Hahn of Galena High School in Reno, Nev., has signed a letter-of-intent with the LSU baseball program. Hahn will enroll at LSU in August, and he will be eligible to play during the 2002 season.

Hahn, a 6-2, 210-pound left-handed hitter, was the 21st round selection of the Baltimore Orioles in last month’s Major League Baseball draft. He earned all-state recognition last season at Galena High, batting .453 with 15 homers and 59 RBI.

Hahn’s father, Don, enjoyed a seven-year major league career (1969-75) as an outfielder with the Expos, Mets, Phillies, Cardinals and Padres. Don Hahn helped lead the Mets to the 1973 World Series, which they lost in seven games to the Oakland A’s.
