BATON ROUGE — BATON ROUGE — The NCAA announced that Zephyr Field will be the site where LSU and Tulane will meet for the 266th time in this weekend’s Super Regional.
A limited number of LSU-Tulane NCAA Super Regional ticket books will go on sale at 8 a.m. Wednesday to LSU baseball season ticket holders. Ticket books will go on sale at the LSU ticket office, located on the first floor of the athletic administration building.
Tickets may also be ordered by phone Wednesday by dialing (225) 578-2184.
Ticket books are $50 each, and there is a limit of four books per customer.
The Super Regional will be held Friday through Sunday at Zephyr Field in Metairie. Game times are 6:30 p.m. Friday, 12:30 p.m. Saturday and 12:30 p.m. Sunday (if necessary).
LSU (43-20-1) and Tulane (53-10) advances to NCAA Super Regional play after winning their respective regionals on Sunday.
The Tigers defeated Virginia Commonwealth in game 7 of the Baton Rouge Regional, 14-9, while No. 5 seed Tulane came from behind to beat Oklahoma State, 9-8.
The best-of-three series will be the 266th, 267th and 268th (if necessary) meetings in the series of the 108-year rivalry separated by just over 70 miles of Interstate 10 in south Louisiana. LSU leads the series, 150-112-3.
