BATON ROUGE — Members of the 2001-02 LSU Cheerleading squad and Tiger Girls dance team were announced on Tuesday by LSU Marketing Coordinator Ward Wyatt.
The cheerleading squad for the 2001-02 season includes 24 returnees from the 2000-01 squad which finished in seventh place at the the National Championships. Meanwhile, the Tiger Girls dance team includes nine members of the 2000-01 team that placed fifth in the nation.
Tryouts for the 32-member cheerleading squad were held April 21-22, while the 16-member Tiger Girls Dance Team tryouts were April 29.
Kim LeBoeuf serves as the LSU Cheerleading coach, while Ginger Broussard coaches the Tigers Girls Dance Team. Pauline Zernott serves as the LSU Spririt Coordinator, in charge of LSU Cheerleading Squad, LSU Tiger Girls and LSU Baseball Bat Girls.
