BATON ROUGE — Gene Corrigan, the former athletic director at Notre Dame, will be the featured speaker at the first annual LSU Academic Achievement Banquet for Student-Athletes.
The banquet will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 22 at the LSU Faculty Club. The banquet will honor all LSU student-athletes who have achieved academic excellence during the 2000-01 academic year.
In all, 178 LSU student-athletes will receive awards for their academic accomplishments. Awards will also be given to the team with the highest grade point as well as the student-athlete from each team with the highest grade point average.
