BATON ROUGE — Due to travel complications the 12th-ranked LSU gymnastics team will not travel to Lincoln, Nebraska this weekend. After experiencing a number of delays, LSU head coach D-D Breaux felt it was in the team’s best interest to cancel the Tiger’s road trip.
LSU was scheduled to compete in the Nebraska Master’s Classic this Saturday in a quad meet featuring No. 6 Nebraska, No. 21 Denver and No. 23 North Carolina State.
“Our initial flight was canceled, and we were forced to split up some of our team,” Breaux said. “Weather conditions were getting worse in Nebraska, and I did not want to take the chance of having our kids stranded in different parts of the country.”
The Tigers will next travel to Auburn for their final regular season SEC match-up on Friday, March 2 before closing out the regular season at home on March 9.
