BATON ROUGE — LSU’s Doug Aucoin has been selected as the College Sports Video Association’s SEC Video Coordinator of the Year, the association announced on Friday.
Aucoin, who is in his fourth year with as videography director for the LSU football team, will be honored for his achievements at this year’s CSVA Annual Convention in Kansas City, Mo. Aucoin now qualifies for the CSVA Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year Award.
As videography director, Aucoin is responsible for analytical support of computer and video technologies, including the taping of games and practices, opponent video exchange, self-scout and opponent breakdowns and tape cut-ups used as a teaching tool for the players.
Prior to joining the LSU staff, Aucoin served as video coordinator at Tulane for six years. Aucoin also spent time as assistant video coordinator with the New Orleans Saints working with his brother, Albert, and his father, Erby, who is a member of the Saints Hall of Fame for his pioneering analytical film work in the early years of the National Football League.
