BATON ROUGE — The LSU Athletic Department, in cooperation with Baton Rouge Virtual Tours, released a preview of its first iPIX? 360? virtual tours of its athletic facilities to the public on Wednesday in association with National Signing Day.
iPIX? 360? tour technology allows Internet users to get a first-hand look at the LSU Athletic Complex without leaving the comfort of their own home.
LSUsports.net joins thousands of world-wide web sites such as CNN, Apple, American Express, NASA, Intel, eBay and the 2000 Sydney Olympics which offer this state-of-the-art view, but it is one of the first collegiate athletic sites to offer such a facilities tour.
Fans and recruits around the world can now take an interactive look at the LSU Weight Room, Dr. Martin J. Broussard Center for Athletic Training, William Lawton Squad Room and the LSU Football Locker Room.
Sport-by-sport iPIX? 360? virtual tours are in the process of being developed, which will give behind the scenes 360? views of LSU’s 20 varsity sports’ facilites. Also, in-game tours at athletic venues such as Tiger Stadium, Alex Box Stadium and the Maravich Assembly Center will also be developed to allow everyone around the world a chance to be a part of the LSU experience.
