FARMERS BRANCH, Texas — On Thursday morning, LSU’s Ajay Ramaswami lost to Duke’s second-ranked Marko Cerenko, 6-7 (3), 6-3, 6-4, in the first round of the Rolex National Intercollegiate Championships hosted by Southern Methodist University at the Brookhaven Country Club near Dallas.
Ramaswami, ranked No. 8 in the nation, fell to the consolation draw which begins Friday. He will face Alexis Rudzinski of SMU in the first round of the second draw. Rudzinski fell to Lesley Joseph of Georgia, 6-0, 6-1.
