Peach Bowl Festivities, Practice Continues in Atlanta

ATLANTA — On Wednesday, the LSU football team will continue to bounce around Atlanta at it continues to prepare for the 2000 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl matchup against Georgia Tech on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. CST.

The Tigers will attend a Fellowship of Christian Athletes breakfast at 7:30 a.m. with former University of Colorado head football coach Bill McCartney as the featured speaker.

After team meetings at 10:45, LSU heads to the Georgia Dome for its second-to-last practice before the Peach Bowl. The Tigers practiced on the Georgia Dome turf on Monday and Tuesday for two hours without a hitch. Wednesday and Thursday’s practices will be closed to the media and the public.

Offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher and defensive coordinator Phil Elmassian will take part in the coordinators’ press conference at 3:45 p.m. at the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce while the team heads back to the Marriott Marquis to prepare for the Delta Air Lines Players Awards Dinner in the hotel.
