Tigers Continue to Prep For Peach Bowl

BATON ROUGE — LSU continued its preparations for its game against 15th-ranked Georgia Tech in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on December 29 with a two hour practice at the LSU Indoor Facility on Wednesday.

The Tigers will practice at 11 a.m. on Thursday before taking three days off for Christmas. LSU departs for Atlanta at 4 p.m. on Sunday and the Tigers will resume their workouts for the Peach Bowl on Monday at the Georgia Dome.

“We went through a normal week of practice,” LSU coach Nick Saban said. “We’re going to practice a little early on Thursday so the players can get home for a couple of days for Christmas. Practice has gone well and most of the players have gotten a lot of good work in and we seem to be getting back into the type of shape we were in late in the season.

“I’m pleased with the effort and the intensity that we have had and the players have done a good job of working through the practices.”

The Tigers will face Georgia Tech at 4 p.m. CT on Friday, December 29 in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The game will be televised by ESPN. LSU enters having won four of its last five games and with a 7-4 overall mark. Georgia Tech has won seven straight and will carry a 9-2 record in the contest.
