BATON ROUGE — Beginning Thursday, Dec. 7, at 8 a.m., LSU students will have the opportunity to purchase tickets in a section of the Georgia Dome reserved exclusively to them, LSU Ticket Office Manager Brian Broussard announced on Wednesday.
After selling an LSU single-day record of more than 10,000 tickets to season ticket holders on Tuesday, a block of tickets will be sold to students who display their valid LSU ID on Thursday morning.
These seats, which cost $50, will be located in the end zone adjacent to the “Golden Band From Tigerland” in an attempt to “bring the Eye of the Tiger” to Atlanta.
LSU will play Georgia Tech in the 2000 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in Atlanta, Ga., on Dec. 29, at 4 p.m. CST (5 p.m. EST). LSU has won three straight bowls, including the 1996 Peach Bowl when the Tigers defeated Clemson, 10-7.
