BATON ROUGE — The 24th-ranked LSU football team wrapped up its on-field preparation for Friday’s season-finale against Arkansas with a with a two-hour practice on Wednesday.
LSU enters the Arkansas game with a 7-3 overall mark and a 5-2 Southeastern Conference record. A win by the Tigers would give them a share of the SEC Western Division title. Auburn has already clinched a trip to the conference championship game against Florida on Dec. 2.
“I don’t think that we can be satisfied when there are new challenges and other things to prove,” LSU coach Nick Saban said. “We constantly try to get the players to focus on the next step in the mountain We have a chance to share our side of the league, to finish the season in the top 25 and the possibility of a New Year’s day bowl.”
Saban said that freshman tailback LaBrandon Toefield in still listed as questionable for Friday’s game. Toefield injured his left knee in the first quarter of LSU’s 20-9 win over Ole Miss on November 11.
Kickoff for Friday’s game in Little Rock is set for 1:40 p.m. and it will be televised to a national audience by CBS.
